The grant funds will be used to pay our students stipends at $6 per
hour on the work training crews, and to pay the staff supervisors $8
to $10 per hour to supervise and train those crews. Community
partners volunteer to do the training at their facilities with the
understanding that, after approximately one month of our stipends,
the community partner will pick up the payroll for the student upon
graduation. This enables our business partner to get a one-month
look/see at the potential new hire at no expense to the firm other
than training time.
